A few weeks ago, I came across this intriguing photoshoot by BOSHOK Clothing. A brand built on a name that signifies the strength and struggles of our ancestors, it's only right that their editorial work does them justice. The images from this shoot eventually went viral, but it leaves one to think about why that is so. In recent memory, when have you seen an articulation of "black anger" that's not directly connected to death, pain or some sort of misery? This artistic means of expression is not often seen in the streetwear, in the arts yes, but generally clothing brands shy away from making these sort of political statements for fear of how it will be received. Personally, I can appreciate the message behind this because it represents me and my thoughts, I have no intention of lashing out but I will definitely get my message across with my creativity. Well done, BOSHOK BROTHERS.
