After an eventful first day in New York, we rested up and prepared for day two. We ate breakfast at a local diner by the hotel and made our way to the Jacob Javits Center to attend PROJECT. For this week of events, known as Men's Market Week, the Javits Center housed PROJECT, Agenda, MRKET and TexWorld. Concentrating heavily on footwear and streetwear, PROJECT does not limit itself by strictly abiding by those boundaries. Exploring the trade show floor, we found ourselves in the midst of established and emerging brands alike. From personal accesories like handbags, briefcases and messenger bags by ro, to the trendy stylings of Jacob Holston, the newcomers definitely showed out proving that they too will become global players in the near future. Rather than take an all-inclusive approach, trying to snag literature and free merchandise from all vendors, we interacted with brands that we could see ourselves personally wearing or could potentially collaborate with. Some of our personal favorite moments were the conversations with the folks from Cruyff and Jacob Holston, the collections from Sol-Angeles and Cole Haan to the goodies from S'well and Troubadour. Once the show concluded, we caught up with our old friend Dave once again but this time in Harlem, checked out House of Hoops, got a bite to eat and headed back to the hotel to prepare for day three.
