With my ongoing fascination with brogue boots, this recent release from our Fred Perry is right on time. Dubbed the "Northgate Boot" after a street in Frederick's hometown of Stockport, each edition masterfully infuses British outerwear elements with fine detailing unique to the UK brand. From the handcrafted Harris Tweed and commando soles, to the welt-style construction of the black and tan leather editions, each colorway tells its own story of distinctly British heritage. Of the varying choices and styles, which would be my personal pick? Why tweed of course, aside from the Millerain waxed canvas, it's the most appropriate choice for the weather in my opinion. The lug pattern of commando soles and laser-etched laurel wreath are an added bonus to an already brilliantly crafted boot. Check out the fine details of the Northgate Boot in the accompanying gallery.
