Back in April, Queens legendary rap group, A Tribe Called Quest, celebrated 25 years since the release of their debut album People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm back in 1990. A landmark first outing, it established the group’s mundus operandi of creating thought-provoking music with off kilter humor and experimental sounds. This was back when the coveted Five Mic designation by the Source was a rarity and wearing a dashiki was more than a fashion statement. Each member has gone on to differing levels of success separately and continues to help pave the way for alternative hip-hop artist today. Fall in love with ATCQ and listen to the album that launched a phenomenon here.
