In case you haven't noticed already, I became a fan of Marlee in the Mixx all over again. We met them like 3 years at Sunday Funday with the Beard and the Fro when they invited Iggy Azalea to DC for a show at Warehouse Loft, now known as Union Arts DC. Marlee's voice broke my neck as I was carrying a conversation with somebody and its like I paid attention from a distance ever since. After randomly running into before their 10000 Hours Release Event, we kept in contact and now we have a growing respect for each other's movement. Most of their journey up until this point is documented in video form on YouTube on their video channel. In this particular piece, their drummer and band leader Foots Da King takes time out to be interviewed for their "Something About A Drummer" series. Listen as he gives insight into the band, him as a person, and his vision overall for this musical passion of his. You can also view part 2, my personal favorite, and 3 here.
